2021 IDEA Gala with Virginia Walden Ford

The 2021 IDEA Gala will celebrate Missouri's new Empowerment Scholarship Account program established just this year in the Missouri legislature and signed by Governor Mike Parson. Join us as we celebrate this amazing new program that will benefit children with Individualized Learning Plans (IEP) and low-income Missouri families.

Our 2021 Champion for Change is the amazing Virginia Walden Ford. As a struggling mom in Washington DC, Ms. Ford organized and led parents and her community to create the DC Scholars program in 2004. Her incredible story is the subject of a full length film released in 2019 called "Miss Virginia."
